Hurrah to all the mothers out there from all the families at the ZRecs Network. We hope you're all having a wonderful day, and we'd love to hear how you spent it. If you're looking for a little something extra for a mother in your life, send a quick video card and follow it up with a phone call!

So... what did you do for the mothers in your life today? If you're a mom, how did you spend your Mother's Day?

I got a new bike seat so I could bring my daughter with on a bike ride, so we all went out as a family for the first time ever.

Breakfast in bed from the 3- & 5-year-old (helped by dad), gifts they made at preschool and the 1-year-old slept in. Perfect!

3. Anna [5/10/09]

I went shopping for Mother’s Day!  I made breakfast for my mother-in-law and I made a mini-album for my mom.

My daughter, husband and I took my mother in law and grandmother in law to the Cheesecake Factory for brunch...I wish Mother’s Day was every day, especially when there is french toast involved.  Ha ha ha.  Just hung out at home with my little lady all day - nice to just spend some unrushed quality time together.

Happy Mom’s Day to Jenni!

Daughter had a 103.3 fever. :( But at least she was snuggly!

Thanks for sharing, everyone! Z and I went shopping Saturday and picked up a bunch of supplies for Jenni for a new photography project she is getting started on. (Small hand tools, assorted fasteners, fish hooks and Pyrex make for a strange gift basket.) Sunday morning we made chocolate cake for breakfast (scones were on the agenda, but we changed our minds), presented Jenni with her gifts (including a glass measuring shot glass Z picked out and repaid me for, in quarters from her piggy bank, so it would be just from her), and then visited with two grandmothers in the afternoon and evening to deliver flowers and handmade cards from Z.

My son and I are visiting my folks in Houston, TX (husband is back at work all by his lonesome)… so Grandma, Grandpa, 3-year-old boy and myself all went downtown into Houston to ride the light rail to Hermann Park, then we rode the Hermann Park train around back to the light rail, then light rail back to the car.  It was a red-letter day for a 3 year old boy (we are visiting after all-time to do some fun stuff).  And way more fun for mom and Grandma than cramming into an overcrowded restaurant with bad service :) Then we had a nice dinner at home later.  A good mother’s day with cards, gifts, and all!

I made dinner for my daughter, her husband and my granddaughter.  It was a nice evening.
