We've sold 43
Thinkbaby BPA Free Feeding Sets in seven days. Thirty of those sold within the first 48 hours.
We're thrilled by this, as well as by how smoothly everything has gone. We state in the payment form that delivery may take 1-2 weeks, but were able to get shipments out the next business day on nearly every order, and FedEx business shipping is faster than we thought - some who purchased the set Wednesday had it in hand on Friday. (Delivery times will vary, though, because it's a ground shipping service.)
We're ready to cut off sales, but wanted to give any readers a warning before we did so, since we haven't met our self-imposed limit. We'll take orders until tomorrow at noon CT, even if we go over 50, and can provide the same quick processing we've been able to offer so far. So you've been thinking about buying one of these six-piece BPA Free Feeding Sets at our $40 + free shipping offer, with 50% of proceeds going to the
Breast Cancer Fund and the rest to our own consumer blogging efforts, we encourage you to
place your order now.
For regular readers of Z Recommends, I wanted to mention that we've deliberately been quiet about this sale on the blog while it was going on. We aren't, and have no intention of becoming, a blog designed to market products we sell directly. The last you'll hear from us about this sale is a few days from now, when we can run the numbers and report back to readers about the amount of our donation to the Breast Cancer Fund on our readers' behalf. This is the same model we intend to follow for any future sales - an opening announcement, a quick reminder as we prepare to close it up, and a report on donations.
How do you folks feel about shipping one to Canada? Is that a possibility?
This is definitely something we’ll look to for our next sale - we’ll have to run the numbers on shipping and see how we’d be able to offer such sales. We have a goal of offering flat-rate shipping for simplicity’s sake, if it works out financially, and might be able to offer a separate flat rate for Canadian orders. We aren’t there yet, though, as we deliberately kept things very simple for this first sale while we get our feet wet in retail.
