Z has a variety of doll houses, all of which take up a lot of space. Imaginetics' My Doll House is a creative way to get some quality dollhouse play without the fuss of a toy that sprawls out in three dimensions.

Measuring 11x14" when folded, and twice that when opened, the dollhouse is a perfect travel companion. The rooms are bright and colorful, the family happy, and the pieces easily manipulated. Z's favorite room is the pink kids' room where bunk beds welcome a sleepy child. She was delighted to play with her new magnetic house, imagining stories and creating action birthday scenes.

The only shortcoming of this great toy is the lack of an envelope of sorts in which to store the magnetic pieces. School Zone's 3D Magnetic Teacher kits, at left, offer one nice example of how to achieve this. But overall, we love Imaginetic's take on a more compact, travel-friendly way to play house, and Z does too.
